From Recollections
Emigration Journey
Over the clouds I sped,
seated within
a steel charger,
homeless like a dog.
Time passed vaguely,
grey bereft of measure, swallowing distance.
I thought of my dearest, their faces, eyes,
and sadness, like a shroud
enveloped my heart.
Tears flowed from my eyes, muddled thoughts,
numerous problems tangled knots.
Should disentangle them, leave memories be,
and for the road
frame them
like a picture.
What is to be?
Will I be able to unravel the problems?
What will life be
in this new
land?
